FMRI Image Processing for Brain Tumour
Detection and Characterization
In this paper, a method is proposed which involves using FMRI scan images to detect the growth of tumours in Brain. It has been observed that in the tumour regions, the pixel-to-pixel correlation is significantly higher than in non-tumour regions. This has led to the development of an algorithm that characterizes the tumour growth in Brain depending on how much inter-pixel correlation has been detected. This technique has been demonstrated and its proof of concept has been shown using MATLAB.
