Android Operating System
Android is a mobile operating system (OS) based on the Linux kernel and developed by Google. This research paper involves essentially surveying the policies of the android operating system, including scheduling, memory management, multitasking on android, newest android versions. Smartphones devices such as Samsung, Sony, HTC and those others supporting android operating system are progressively making an impact on the society. This research paper examines how the android OS differs from the Linux2.6 upon which it was based. In addition to this it provides a support for voice and text exchange, executing sophisticated embedded software applications, as well as provide a simple link to the Internet and its resources. The first android which is android “DONUT” is launched in HTC dream (GI) which was far better than other operating systems at that time. Since then different versions were launched by Google for android OS till 2014 and yet more to come.
Bluetooth Enabled Smart Home Devices
Wireless technologies like Bluetooth today has made security and climate control like home appliances much advanced and efficient .The past decade has seen significant advancement in the field of consumer electronics. Various ‘intelligent’ appliances such as cameras, window/door sensors, motion sensors, water sensors, wristwatches, smoke detectors, home security devices, home theatres, etc. are set to realize the concept of a smart home. Most of these appliances have difficult and complex user interfaces. However, by incorporating smart phones and other Bluetooth enabled mobile devices, users can connect to the appliances using their own existing communication device. They have given rise to a Personal Area Network in home environment, where all these appliances can be interconnected and monitored using a single controller. Busy families and individuals with physical limitation represent an attractive market for home automation and networking. A wireless home network that does not incur additional costs of wiring would be desirable. Bluetooth technology, which has emerged in late 1990s, is an ideal solution for this purpose.

Now in real life scenario several networks with different protocols and architectures are need to be Interconnected for efficient communication. To support this feature there exists many networking relay devices that facilitate communication between heterogeneous networks. Network topology is the study of the arrangement of links and links and nodes in a network and the interconnection among the nodes. Network topologies information helps one analyze faults in ip networks and their locations. Networking is also the essence of communication and is impossible without communication. Mobile Cloud Computing
Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) which combines mobile computing and cloud computing, has become one of the industry buzz words and a major discussion thread in the IT world since 2009. As MCC is still at the early stage of development, it is necessary to grasp a thorough understanding of the technology in order to point out the direction of future research. With the latter aim, this paper presents a review on the background and principle of MCC, characteristics, recent research work, and future research trends. A brief account on the background of MCC: from mobile computing to cloud computing is presented and then followed with a discussion on characteristics and recent research work. It then analyses the features and infrastructure of mobile cloud computing. The rest of the paper analyses the challenges of mobile cloud computing, summary of some research projects related to this area, and points out promising future research directions.
Wearable mobile devices
“Wearable” means which we can wear on our body and go anywhere and can do anything, which is exactly what the wearable mobile devices do. It is also known as body-borne computers or wearables which are miniature electronic devices that are worn by the bearer under, with or on top of clothing. This class of wearable technology has been developed for general or special purpose information technologies and media development. Wearable computers are especially useful for applications that require more complex computational support than just hardware coded logics. One of the main features of a wearable computer is consistency. There is a constant interaction between the computer and user, i.e. there is no need to turn the device on or off. Another feature is the ability to multi-task. It is not necessary to stop what you are doing to use the device; it is augmented into all other actions. These devices can be incorporated by the user to act like a prosthetic. It can therefore be an extension of the user’s mind and/or body.
